CITY OF TONAWANDA, NY - A Tonawanda man is charged with using a piece of colored film to make it appear as if his vehicle inspection was up-to-date.
City of Tonawanda police say Travis Payne, 40, of Old Colony Rd. used a piece of red plastic film on the outside of his windshield to make his yellow expired sticker appear current. The discovery was made during a traffic stop Wednesday morning on Fillmore Avenue in the city.
A DMV check on Payne's license showed two suspensions for failure to answer a summons as well as failure to pay child support. He was also driving without insurance.
