BUFFALO, NY - Some changes are coming to the Hotel at the Lafayette a few years after the downtown landmark reopened following tens of millions of dollars in renovations.
Butterwood Sweet and Savory Restaurant, which was located in the hotel's basement, recently closed. This weekend Bourbon and Butter, a restaurant on the first floor, will serve its last meal.
Developer Rocco Termini, whose company owns the building, tells us the basement where Butterwood was will be transformed into office space. As for Bourbon and Butter, Termini says restaurateur William Koessler, who already runs a catering business at the hotel, will take the space over and use it for banquets and other special events.
