BUFFALO, N.Y. — From music lovers to fitness enthusiasts, history buffs and festival goers—Canalside is set to host hundreds of events over the summer, all kicking off this Memorial Day weekend.
"Every season we look for new ways to enhance the guest experience," said Kevin Parkinson, Vice President of Canalside Management Group and Be Our Guest, Ltd. “An eclectic concert line-up, more free fitness classes, and new offerings at Clinton’s Dish have done just that. We’re looking forward to another great summer.”
New this year to Canalside:
- The Ice Cream Kiosk makes its debut on the boardwalk serving soft serve and Nick Charlap's sweet treats.
- Oxford Pennant will also be hosting a new pop-up shop along the boardwalk.
- The Creators on the Canal Series transforms the waterfront into an eclectic marketplace on Sundays, featuring local artists, craftsmen, and music.
- Movie Mondays invite guests to the Great Lawn to watch a number of classic films under the stars.
- Buffalo on Display is a signature event that takes places on Saturday evening's at Clinton's Dish, inviting local musicians to showcase their talents to the public.
- Fitness at Canalside presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York offers over 30 free classes taught by the area’s most talented and beloved instructors—an engaging way to get fit with a healthy side of vitamin D.
- Basil Port of Call welcomes the Tall Ships Challenge series for the first time with a festival celebrating the city's rich maritime heritage, July 4-7.
- Explore & More Children’s Museum and its ground floor restaurant Low Bridge Café will soon open, offering hands-on interactive activities and family friendly food options.
This schedule is in addition to the popular Canalside Live concert series, which starts on Friday, June 28.
As always, Canalside will offer daily kayak, paddle, and pedal boat rentals, blue bike rentals, history tours and more!
