BUFFALO, N.Y. — Municipalities are still feeling the effects of Sunday's high winds.
The Erie Basin Marina has reopened, but LaSalle Park remains closed.
Early Sunday, Dunkirk Police Department issued a travel advisory, closing Dunkirk City Pier, Lakefront Boulevard, and Crooked Brook Drive until further notice. The advisory has since been lifted.
Strong winds kicked up massive waves all along the Lake Erie shoreline.
Hamburg Emergency Services shared video on their Facebook page advising drivers to be careful along Lake Shore Road, between Big Tree and Camp Roads. Patrol officers captured waves crashing on that section of the roadway.
They also shared two videos of the Hoover Beach Community, just one area they kept a close eye on Sunday.

"Luckily, they pulled the docks out two days ago," said Ric Hilliman, who runs Queen City Bike Ferry and Buffalo Sailing Adventures, which operate the Spirit of Buffalo and the Buffalo River History Tours. "They pulled all the docks out. They would have definitely been damaged."
"I don't ever remember it being this high," he added. "Lucky for us, all of our boats are out of the water, too. This is not good."
Also in Buffalo, police advised the public that the Erie Basin Marina and LaSalle Park were closed for safety.
City spokesperson, Mike DeGeorge, tells us the city's Forestry Department received nine calls about damaged trees Sunday. Four of the calls involved trees hitting vehicles. There were no reports of anyone getting hurt as a result of the weather.
In Niagara Falls, 2 On Your Side found crews taking apart a downed tree that crashed into a front porch on Sunday afternoon. The tree service admitted they were not as busy as they had expected considering the conditions throughout the day.
