NCCC helping community file taxes

Niagara County Community College is offering those in need of tax help, free services to meet with professionals on their campus.

SANBORN, N.Y. — Niagara County Community College is helping people file their taxes this year.

NCCC announced on Monday that anyone who made less than $79,000 in 2023, will qualify to meet with representatives from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. 

Those representatives will help walk people through filing their tax returns online.

Sessions will take place at the NCCC Lewis Library and the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. Appointments are available on most Wednesdays and can be made from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

People planning to attend will need to bring their 2023 tax documents, a copy of their 2022 tax return, a valid email address, and possess basic computer skills.
