BUFFALO, N.Y. — Employers and recruiters from 75 businesses- looking to fill open positions- will be in attendance at the Niagara County career fair on August 7. The event is sponsored by the county's Department of Employment and Training.
From noon to 3 p.m., visitors can speak with professionals in health care, skilled trades, administration, and more- without any appointments or pre-registration necessary.
The fair takes place at 5014 Day Road in Lockport.
“There are job opportunities for all levels of skill and experience,” said Don Jablonski, Director of Employment and Training. He said employers are willing to provide training to anyone who wants to apply for a specific role but feels they lack experience in an industry. “Plus, our WorkSourceOne team will be there to provide additional assistance to job seekers,” said Jablonski.
Niagara's WorkSourceOne career center in Niagara Falls offers additional resources to assist with the job application process- from resume help to career counseling and access to business recruitment events.
The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. located at 1001 Eleventh Street Niagara Falls NY.
