NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — If you need a job in Niagara County, The Niagara County Department of Employment and Training is holding a job fair this week. The event was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 22 but was rescheduled because of weather.
More than 50 companies with open positions will be at the job fair on Wednesday, Sept. 29. The fair will take place at Oppenheim Park in Wheatfield from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Appointments are not necessary.
“This is our third career fair this summer and we have had a great turnout of both employers and job seekers with many successful matches,” said Donald Jablonski, director of employment and training.
“We have employers who are eager to hire and willing to train those with limited experience, so this could be a great time for a person to consider new opportunities that maybe they would not have considered in the past. It is certainly worth taking the time to attend and explore.”
While the previous job fairs have been successful, this will likely be the last job fair of the year, according the county.
Hiring companies include FedEx, First Student and Spectrum. For a full list of employers, visit the Niagara County Employment & Training website.
