Tim Hortons franchisee plans expansion in Southern Tier

The plan is to build a new store in Jamestown, followed by another in Olean, then sites in Wellsville, Cuba and Hornell.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Southern Tier franchisee for Tim Hortons is working on an expansion that will add five more stores and introduce the company’s first drive-thru only model.

Blake Tarana is president of TAR Enterprises, a Jamestown company that operates seven Tim Hortons stores in the Jamestown and Olean area. He’s building a new store in Jamestown, to be followed by another in Olean, then sites in Wellsville, Cuba and Hornell.

“We’re going down the Southern Tier, with the ultimate end game of Binghamton down (Route) 86,” he said. “We’re putting the first Tim Hortons in that market and trying to expand it into Corning-Elmira.”
