Three Stories Coffee closes on Buffalo's East Side

An adjoining area to the café will continue to be used for workforce development.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Just a few weeks shy of its first anniversary, Three Stories Coffee Co. has closed on Buffalo’s East Side.

The café opened at 1021 Broadway next door to the Broadway Market as a mission-based venture of 716 Ministries.

Jeremy Hazelton, 716 Ministries executive director, said there just wasn’t enough walk-in traffic to sustain the business. “We felt like we were supported, but at the end of the day the losses were really substantial, at some point it puts the whole organization at risk,” he said. “The price points were OK, we just weren’t seeing the necessary volume. … It was insufficient to keep it going.”  You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website.
