Swannie House back in business after temporarily closing

There will be a limited menu featuring corned beef dinner, corned beef sandwich, Rueben sandwich, wings, and fries.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A historic bar in Buffalo's Old First Ward is reopening just in time for the St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Swannie House announced on Tuesday it would be closing indefinitely after the passing of owner Debbie Wiles. She owned the restaurant with her husband Tim Wiles for the past 40 years.

Three days after that announcement, Swannie House posted on Facebook that the bar and restaurant will reopen on Saturday, March 18 at 9:30 a.m. 

There will be a limited menu featuring corned beef dinner, corned beef sandwich, Rueben sandwich, wings and fries.

Swannie House went on to thank its customers for the continued support during this time and said, "We feel the tremendous outpouring of love and care and appreciate every single one of you."
