A pandemic pivot helped BuffaLove Apparel double its business in 2020

Owner Patty Watson says the store's success is because she listened to what customers wanted.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — As an entrepreneur who based her business on celebrating Buffalo, Patty Watson attributes the success of BuffaLove Apparel to listening to what people like and want and making that happen.

During the pandemic, that meant adding face masks, creating more custom designs and moving to a larger retail space.

Watson, who previously worked as a registered nurse, said she started BuffaLove Apparel in 2014 to show pride in and celebrate the revitalization of Buffalo.
