ANGOLA, N.Y. — Western New York is a step closer to its first Shake Shack.
Construction is expected to begin in June on the Angola Thruway service area for a rebuild that ultimately will put a Shake Shack as well as Panda Express, Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon and Starbucks with drive-thru, as well as a new Applegreen Market Store in a new 20,145-square-foot facility.
The tip-off on the construction schedule was a layoff notice filed last week with the State Department of Labor by Applegreen USA Travel Plazas Central Services LLC that includes 18 workers at the Angola service area, beginning June 6.
