Ring it up: Black Friday sales start across Western New York

'Eat your turkey, take a nap, come out, and go shopping. And it's just fun even if you don't buy anything.'

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Black Friday frenzy is underway here in Western New York.

The Fashion Outlets of Niagara opened their doors at 8 p.m. Thursday for people to get a jump start on all of their holiday shopping.

It was the perfect way for Western New Yorkers to work off all of those Thanksgiving calories.

"Eat your turkey, take a nap, come out, and go shopping," Emma Hare of Warsaw said. "And it's just fun even if you don't buy anything, just for the experience, and to see the sales, and see what people want to get."

The Fashion Outlets were open until 2 a.m. Friday, before re-opening again at 7 a.m.

The same goes for the Walden Galleria, which opens at 8 a.m. Friday.

The Boulevard Mall opens at 5 a.m. Friday, while the McKinley Mall opens at 7 a.m.
