Prima Pizza Pasta closes after 45 years with building sale

The 45-year-old restaurant owned by the Berrafato family closed a few weeks ago while the sale was pending.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — With the sale finalized of its longtime place at the corner of Chippewa and Pearl streets, Prima Pizza Pasta has closed for good.

The 45-year-old restaurant owned by the Berrafato family closed a few weeks ago while the sale was pending for 396 Pearl St., a 5,800-square-foot, three-story building.

According to records filed with the Erie County Clerk’s office, AJD 396 LLC bought the building for $500,000 from Richard Scarafia and Mary Ann Berrafato.
