BUFFALO, N.Y. — The end of Panasonic's solar operation in Buffalo is officially on record.
The company has filed notice with the state Department of Labor that 375 workers will be laid off on May 31. Panasonic has operated a solar cells and modules production line inside Tesla's gigafactory in South Buffalo for more than three years.
Panasonic announced last month it was winding down its U.S. solar manufacturing and will exit the Buffalo plant by the end of September. You can read more on Buffalo Business First's website.
