Oxford Pennant closing its retail storefront

Starting off in 2017 as just a singular location with 10 employees, the now 62-person run factory is shifting its storefront space.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Vintage-styled wool pennant retailer known as the Oxford Pennant announced on their social media pages Monday that they will be closing the doors at their Main Street retail store.

The business was founded by two people who met on a business trip and then became friends.  The Oxford Pennant was first born in 2013.

The retail store on Main Street opened in 2017, and soon became a popular unique spot in the city for both locals and tourists to find fun gifts, and more.

Only a block away lives the 12,000 square foot Oxford Pennant factory which has expanded their business from its original 10 person staff to now 62 employees.

The business has decided to consolidate their spaces, and will remain at the factory along with adding the storefront in the upcoming months.

Closing after the holiday season, the group plans to re-open the storefront at the factory sometime in the spring. There has yet to be an exact date announced for the re-opening.

While the storefront is closed, people will still be able to purchase products online.
