BUFFALO, N.Y. — NYSEG customers will receive a one-time discount on their next bill.
The discount — part of New York State's ongoing efforts to make energy more affordable — is for all electric and natural gas customers, and it will automatically be applied to your bill. Electric customers will receive $9.52 back, and natural gas customers will see a break of $15.66.
You will see the discount applied under the miscellaneous charges section on your bill as "NYS Energy Bill Credit."
"We know the pressure of inflation affects every one of the more than two million customers our Companies serve," Christine Alexander, vice president of Customer Service for NYSEG and RG&E, said in a statement. "Support like this from New York State can really help families maintain financial stability."
