New Era sells vacant Derby buildings to holding company

New Era closed the Derby plant in March 2019.

DERBY, N.Y. — New Era Cap Co. CEO Chris Koch, through his CHK Land Holdings II LLC affiliate, paid $2.5 million for five vacant buildings that the cap and apparel manufacturer had owned in Derby.

The deal for the properties at 8061-8119 Erie Road closed July 7, according to filings in the Erie County Clerk’s office, with CHK Land Holdings II LLC buying them from New Era Cap LLC.
