BUFFALO, N.Y. — Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul was in Buffalo Friday morning visiting local businesses highlighting the reopening in Western New York.
She was joined by New York Senator Tim Kennedy.
"Those steps are important to our recovery for the economy, but also society, for people to get back to some semblance of normal. It won't happen if we don't remain vigilant. We are starting to see scary indicators from other states. People who spend part of the year in New York and part of the year in Florida are now returning. We are seeing cases in communities where we never had them before."
Western New York could enter phase four of the state's reopening plan in less than two weeks if it continues to hit the required benchmarks.
