BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo suburb broke into the top 30 best places to buy a house in the U.S., according to recently released rankings.
Niche, a school researching and data website, releases annual lists of best places to live. The organization evaluates communities nationwide based on what’s best for families, retirees and young professionals, among other criteria. A few local neighborhoods moved up in the rankings.
When it comes to best places to live in the U.S., Williamsville, with a 5,233 population, jumped from 144th place last year to 51st place this year. More than 18,500 towns were evaluated to create the rankings, taking into account data like diversity, public schools, higher education rate, crime and safety, cost of living and jobs.
