AMHERST, N.Y. — Last week, we told you that L.L. Bean was opening in Amherst. Now, we have a date of when its opening to the public.
The 15,000 square-foot store is opening Friday, November 5 at The Boulevard Plaza. Among the items they will be selling are: men’s, women’s and kid’s active and casual apparel, outerwear, footwear and gear.
The clothing and outdoor retailer announced in April it will open a new location at The Boulevard Consumer Square on Niagara Falls Boulevard, not at the former Northtown Plaza, soon to be known as Station 12.
In May of 2020, representatives from L.L. Bean asked the town to rescind and refund its building permit for the Station 12 site, but claimed the request came from WS Development, the project's developer.
This is the seventh L.L. Bean store to open in New York State.
They will be employing more than 70 people.
