LANCASTER, N.Y. — The former Lancaster National Speedway – one of the oldest oval racing tracks in the Northeast – has new owners and, for the second time in three years, a new name.
Lancaster Motorplex LLC paid $1.49 million for the 77-acre auto racing complex at 57 Gunnville Road, Lancaster, according to documents filed June 9 in the Erie County Clerk’s office.
The group headed by drag racer Mike Swinarski and stock car driver Scott Nurmi acquired the property from businessman Gorden Reger’s Lancaster Properties LLC. You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website.
