OLEAN, N.Y. — Two Kaleida Health affiliate hospitals that make up the Upper Allegheny Health System are consolidating services, with acute care and surgery services consolidating into Olean General Hospital, effective May 1.
Bradford Regional Medical Center, 22 miles to the south over the Pennsylvania border, will keep a full-service emergency department at Bradford and the 95-bed skilled nursing facility. The 107-bed hospital will be reduced to 28 beds for behavioral health and 10 for inpatient medical care. The hospital is currently using approximately 15 med/surge beds on a daily basis.
Bradford Regional will retain outpatient services including imaging, laboratory services, women’s health, sleep medicine, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation and the infusion center. Plans call for expanding telehealth and identifying a partner for dental services. You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website.
