BUFFALO, N.Y. — Kevin Townsell served his first bratwurst and craft beer on Sept. 25 in his Hofbrauhaus Buffalo, a biergarten six years in the making.
"Was it worth it? Absolutely," Townsell said. "But there were a lot of lessons I learned, and I've been around a few restaurants before."
Townsell, operator of the Buffalo Brew Pub, Airport Inn and Shannon Pub, wanted to open Hofbrauhaus Buffalo after a 2014 Oktoberfest trip to Munich, Germany. He decided then and there to secure a Hofbrauhaus franchise.
