Grocery chain Aldi is bringing self-checkout to 9 Buffalo Niagara locations

The grocery chain also recently brought the self-checkout option to the Rochester area, according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Shoppers in Western New York will soon have another self-checkout option.

Aldi, a Germany-based discount supermarket chain with 16 locations in Erie and Niagara counties, is bringing self-checkout to multiple local stores. These are the Aldi locations that are getting self-checkout “later this year,” according to Aaron Sumida, division vice president:

  • 9290 Transit Road, East Amherst
  • 3939 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda
  • 4931 Transit Road, Depew
  • 4030 Maple Road, Amherst
  • 5999 South Park Ave., Hamburg
  • 1820 Sheridan Drive, Buffalo
  • 4259 Transit Road, Williamsville
  • 1980 Ridge Road, West Seneca
  • 587 E Main St. Suite 200, Batavia
