BUFFALO, N.Y. — Four Friendly's Restaurant in WNY have been closed for good.
People had questions after finding all of the local Friendly's with notes taped to their doors saying they'd closed.
The chain says tells 2 On Your Side it decided to shut down 23 restaurants in New York and New England because of quote "shifting demographics and consumer preferences, increased competition and rising costs."
That's about 12 percent of all Friendly's restaurants, and it includes the ones in Blasdell, Amherst, Williamsville and Jamestown.
The company isn't saying how many workers lost their jobs.
