BUFFALO, N.Y. — Catharine Young adds another high-profile position to her resume.
The former state senator has been appointed to the Lake Shore Bancorp board of directors, helping oversee the Dunkirk-based bank with 11 full-service branches in Chautauqua and Erie County.
Young, who lives in Olean, was a state Assemblywoman from 1999 to 2005 and then served in the state Senate until 2019, when she decided not to run again.
