EAST AURORA, N.Y. — Two East Aurora brothers have been in the cannabis industry on the West Coast for nearly 15 years, and now it’s time to bring their weed brand to their home state.
“It’s always been on our radar to bring the brand back home,” said Rob Ferguson, one of the brothers and co-founder of Jetty Extracts. “Over the years in California, we’ve learned so much, and there was always so much opportunity to grow. Now, I think we’re at a scale of the business where we’re comfortable bringing it to other markets, and New York has always been a target for us.”
Nate Ferguson left the Buffalo area in 2009 and headed west. Rob soon followed, and the two of them, along with friend Ron Gershoni, started a cannabis cultivation and manufacturing company in San Diego in 2013.
