BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new Chuck E. Cheese location will be moving into the Target Plaza on Delaware in North Buffalo this fall.
The popular children's arcade is slated to open in November, and the company says it will have all of the new updates that the brand has been rolling out.
It will include a technological floor where children can play games and interact with Chuck E. Cheese and his friends. It will also feature a mini trampoline zone and ninja run where children will be able to be active.
This location is the second in Buffalo, the other is on Milestrip Road in Hamburg. In 2018, there was a large fight at the Chuck E. Cheese in Amherst, which later closed in 2020. A representative for the company said that closure was due to a "financial restructuring of the company."
Head of Public Relations for CEC, Alejandra Brady, said that safety is one of the company's top priorities.
Brady said, "We always have security cameras on, they are recording everywhere, and they literally cover every inch of the building, inside and out the building. All of our staff is trained on conflict resolution. However, our employees do not get involved in conflicts."
She also mentioned that if there is a conflict and the resolution doesn't work, local law enforcement will get involved.
Chuck E. Cheese also serves beer and wine. However, the company has a strict policy on how much can be consumed, "it's two drinks maximum per person, period. It doesn't matter if you are there for five hours or whatever, we never serve anything above two drinks," Brady said.
The new location is expected to open in November of this year.
