BUFFALO, N.Y. — Catholic Health is working to open a new program of all-inclusive care for the elderly (PACE) on the D’Youville University campus where older adults can receive health care services and day programming.
The collaboration will take advantage of existing programs at the D’Youville/Catholic Health health hub that opened last year, which offers pharmacy, primary care and a medical gym while providing training and workforce development opportunities for students in health care professions.
“I don’t know of any other PACE program that will be like this,” said Joyce Markiewicz, executive vice president and chief development officer. “They’ll be able to work with our team and the students, beyond nursing and the different disciplines. … Think about all the different majors on that campus.”
