BUFFALO, N.Y. — A local dairy company is struggling to get the cartons it needs for the milk it ships to schools.
Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. has been impacted by a national shortage of school milk packaging. According to the company, a supplier of the half-pint cartons served in school lunches had manufacturing problems in the last few months, causing the nationwide shortage.
Upstate Niagara's CEO Kevin Ellis declined to name the company in an interview Thursday.
