BUFFALO, N.Y. — Just weeks after winning Taste of Buffalo’s “Best Handheld” award for its burger, Stack Burger is closing in Lackawanna on Aug. 16.

But those same burgers – and more – will be available again in September when co-owner Anthony Giangrosso opens a new eatery.

AJ’s Kitchen is planned for 174 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca, most recently home to charcuterie company a Board Above Creative Cuisines. The site was where Stack Burger got its start in 2015 as a partnership between Giangrosso and Joe Maurino before moving to 1506 Abbott Road in Lackawanna in 2018. That site was listed for sale this spring for $329,000.
