BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two years after an ownership change, CRāVing at 1472 Hertel Ave. in Buffalo has closed.

Though owner/chef Patrick Chmura did not return calls to confirm the closure, the restaurant phone number has been disconnected and a 10-day eviction notice was visible on the door Aug. 23, citing past rent exceeding $13,000.

Founded in 2013 as Crave by Jennifer and Adam Goetz, the restaurant transitioned in 2022 to Chmura, who served as sous chef for eight years before buying the farm-to-table restaurant business. Chmura told Buffalo Business First that he had plans to expand the farm-to-table concept by building more relationships with area farmers and producers.  You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website.
