NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — After a foreclosure sale order earlier this year, the Rapids Theatre concert venue in Niagara Falls is on the market for $3 million.
The listing went live in October with Hunt Commercial Real Estate, citing the owner’s desire to retire.
Opened by businessman John Hutchins in 2009, the theater at 1711 Main St. continues to operate, with recent shows including The Strictly Hip in October and Colt Ford in early December; while From Ashes to New is scheduled to perform Dec. 15.
The business fell behind on mortgage payments during the pandemic, which led to the foreclosure filing in January by Niagara’s Choice Federal Credit Union, seeking $1.536 million for the principal amount and interest on a 2016 mortgage.
