BUFFALO, N.Y. — Family Promise is working on a $6.8 million plan to build its second family-focused emergency homeless shelter in the City of Buffalo.
The nonprofit this week entered into a designated development agreement with the city that would allow Family Promise to buy seven vacant city-owned lots on the corner of East Ferry and Welker streets.
Family Promise plans to build a 15,548-square-foot building with about 40 beds that can shelter up to eight families, with three-quarters of the space allocated for children.
