EAST AURORA, N.Y. — The U.S. Department of Defense has restored Moog's facility security clearance.
Moog (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) was notified by the federal government last September that its clearance had been invalidated because CEO Pat Roche isn’t a U.S. citizen. At the time, Moog said it was working with the U.S. Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency to come up with a solution.
The clearance was restored June 28, according to a July 2 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Moog said it resolved the issue by forming a subsidiary, Moog Military Aircraft LLC, “with an independent organizational structure and procedures to ensure the protection of classified information.”
