BUFFALO, N.Y. — The battle between two Mister Sizzle’s ownership groups has shifted to federal court with a new lawsuit tied to trademark ownership.
Casey Casas, who with her husband Chris are the operating partners who own 50% of the Connecticut Street restaurant, filed a trademark infringement civil action on Nov. 5 against their partner John Pantalena in U.S. District Court, Western District.
The complaint asked for a preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order to prevent expansion efforts by Pantalena and Eric Pearson, along with Mister Sizzles Expansion LLC and Mister Sizzles Real Estate Holdings LLC.
