KENMORE, N.Y. — A proposed senior housing development at a former Catholic school in Kenmore has sparked a dispute with the church next door.
Developer Greg Daniel said his $14 million plan for 37 apartments at 45 Victoria Blvd. already has approval from the village and funds allocated by New York State Homes and Community Renewal. What it doesn't have is permission from St. Paul Roman Catholic Church to run utility lines under the church parking lot.
According to Daniel, this approval is vital. Without it, the project most likely can't happen. If an agreement isn't reached soon, the state could pull its funding due to the delays.
