BUFFALO, N.Y. — Disagreement on the operation of Mister Sizzle’s has landed the West Side restaurant owners in court, with an investment partner that owns 50% of the restaurant alleging that its two main partners made unauthorized transfers and loans exceeding $500,000.

Connecticut Street Hospitality Group LLC and Mister Sizzle’s LLC filed a complaint Oct. 16 in Supreme Court in Erie County against Casey and Chris Casas, the couple that own 25% apiece at the bar/restaurant.

The partners opened Mister Sizzle’s at the Horsefeathers Building at 346 Connecticut St. in mid-2021, specializing in smash burgers and boozy milkshakes. They’ve since expanded with a new location at 1 Buffalo St. in Hamburg. A third location initially planned for 6409 Transit Road in Clarence is on hold.
