WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — A portion of the Eastern Hills Mall will close this week.
The interior of the Clarence mall will be closed starting Jan. 14 as Uniland Development Co. plans for the partial demolition and redevelopment of the property, according to company spokesman Ryan Weisz, Uniland senior marketing manager. About 40 store spaces will be affected.
The proposed development project calls for a mixed-use makeover of the about 100-acre campus, which includes office, residential, medical, shopping, dining, recreational and civic areas. The intention is to create a village-like, walkable destination.
