BUFFALO, N.Y. — Ahmed Elbaneh has seen the number of people who want to open a business soar since the pandemic, especially among people who lost their jobs.
His hundreds of clients — most of whom are immigrants — own clothing stores, smoothie shop, video game stores, coffee shops and even a banquet center.
He sees the struggles, and the successes, of newcomers to this country. Many want to work, he said, and they’re willing to put in long hours to become business owners.
