LACKAWANNA, N.Y. — A Lackawanna funeral home has been sold, but its owner isn't going anywhere.
Milestone Funeral Partners of Maine purchased Colonial Memorial Chapels at 3003 South Park Ave. for $695,000, according to records filed Feb. 23 with the Erie County Clerk's office.
Seller Matthew Pasnik, however, will remain a part-owner of the company, and will remain as funeral director, according to Michael Martel, CEO, Milestone Funeral Partners.
Martel said his company will stay behind the scenes, and that day-to-day operations at the funeral home will be largely unchanged.
