BUFFALO, N.Y. — About two years after taking on the role, Frank Curci is retiring as CEO of Northeast Grocery Inc., parent company of Tops Friendly Markets and Price Chopper/Market 32.
The move is part of the company’s strategic succession plan, according to a press release: John Persons, who was named COO of Northeast Grocery in June 2023, will succeed Curci effective Feb. 26.
During Curci’s time as CEO, he developed a team of leaders who could fuel an internal succession plan, which led the company to select Persons as the next CEO.
