BUFFALO, N.Y. — Electric City has been welcoming music lovers to concerts at the former Tralf Music Hall space at 622 Main St. since early this year, but a lawsuit stemming from backstage disputes between the operator of the new music venue and the property owner are now threatening its future.
According to a complaint filed in Erie County Supreme Court, Main Theater Place L.P., an affiliate of Legacy Development, is holding SL Electric City LLC in default of the lease agreement between them and is threatening to evict Electric City.
The complaint was filed by SL Electric City, an affiliate of Los Angeles-based SaveLive, which is now suing Main Theater Place in an attempt to stop what it calls the unjustified termination of the lease. It is also seeking damages for an alleged breach of contract related to construction costs for the space.
