BUFFALO, N.Y. — When he was in college, Dave Gardingham spent time working as a movie theater manager. His husband Mike ran a family diner and worked in retail before getting into the insurance field.
Now, the couple are putting together their experience – and a love of all things pop culture – on Popularity Soda Popcorn Culture, a new business venture at 500 Elmwood Ave. between Rock Burger and the former Thin Man Brewery. The 1,150-square-foot space most recently housed the Culture Exotics smoke shop.
Popularity Soda Popcorn Culture will operate as a fast casual snack bar offering custom-made popcorn, customized soda pop and baked goods from JB’s Bakeshop.
