Deep South Taco lists location for sale

Hamilton a Deep South partner said if he can find a buyer, he’d prefer to arrange a sale-leaseback arrangement.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Correction/Clarification: This story has been edited to delete the name of an LLC related to the Ellicott Street business unconnected to the Hertel Avenue building.

The owner of Deep South Taco has put his North Buffalo building up for sale, but the business isn’t closing.

Richard Hamilton says the 2,580-square-foot building at 1707 Hertel Ave. has been listed for sale with CBRE Upstate NY. The listing puts the price at $1.7 million.

Deep South made its Buffalo debut in 2015 with a restaurant in leased space on Ellicott Street downtown. The Hertel Avenue site followed in early 2017 after Hamilton and his partners bought the building. A third site opened, then closed, on Transit Road.
