BUFFALO, N.Y. — The multi-million dollar question remains: When will Costco open its Buffalo-area store?
News broke in spring 2022 that Costco Wholesale Corp. (NYSE: COST) would open its first location here after years of rumors and speculation. Since then, there’s been few updates on the project, with the big box retailer still not officially confirming the brand is coming to town.
The proposed store is part of the Amherst Commerce Center, a property owned by Benderson Development that is expected to include Costco and Dick’s House of Sport on land between North Bailey Avenue, Meyer Road and the I-290, according to plans filed with the Town of Amherst.
