Restaurant owner plans weed dispensary and lounge near Buffalo Waterfront

A grower’s showcase allows farmers to sell their product directly to consumers, with the points of sale facilitated through a CAURD license holder.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Like many others in cannabis, Matthew Krupp struggled to find the right real estate after he first got his provisional conditional adult-use retail dispensary (CAURD) license.

Finally, he’s found the right spot.

Krupp, who also owns Cantina 62 restaurant, signed a lease with Ellicott Development for 200 Perry St., where he’s planning a weed dispensary and consumption lounge, Canterra.

Krupp said Canterra will occupy the entire building, which will take about five months to build out as a “mixed-use lifestyle hub.” He said the company will also have the 3,000-square-foot outdoor patio for part of the consumption lounge. He’s hopeful it will be open between May and July of next year, if all the approvals go through.
