LOCKPORT, N.Y. — It’s taken two years, but the Community Health Center of Buffalo is a step closer to moving its Lockport clinic to a larger space with expanded services.
Plans are underway to relocate the center from a leased space at 38 Heritage Court to 100 Main St., a former bank building downtown the Buffalo-based health care organization bought in October 2021.
The center expanded to Lockport in 2012. The new 4,357-square-foot space is now being renovated to allow services including family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, social work, care management and, for the first time, dental and behavioral health.
CFO Jonathan Mohr said the project is funded in part by federal funds as well as grants from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, the Highmark Blue Fund and M&T Bank Foundation.
