BUFFALO, N.Y. — An Italian-style bakery/eatery is in the works for Larkinville, giving a founder her first brick-and-mortar shop.

Shannon Wilson launched Artigiana two years ago with a catering menu of fresh-baked breads, sandwiches, meatballs, cured meats and spreads.

Now she’s signed a lease for 1,000 square feet at 935 Seneca St., where Buffalo Bungalow is planning a $2 million project that includes six buildings on a vacant parcel near Smith Street.

Her café will have counter service and seating, with an expanded menu to include fermented spreads and wine, as well as early morning cinnamon rolls, Italian pastries and breakfast focaccia.
